U.S. Mint to Release 2025 Morgan and Peace Uncirculated Silver Dollars on July 10

Date:

The U.S. Mint is set to make its 2025 Morgan and Peace Uncirculated Silver Dollars available for purchase on July 10. The annual release draws consistent interest from collectors and silver enthusiasts alike.

The U.S. Mint will open sales of its 2025 Morgan and Peace Uncirculated Silver Dollars on July 10, continuing a modern tradition that has attracted steady demand since the coins were reintroduced in 2021. Both designs carry one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, giving them inherent bullion value on top of their collectible appeal.

The Morgan Dollar design is a revival of the classic motif first minted from 1878 through 1921, featuring the familiar Lady Liberty obverse and an eagle on the reverse. The Peace Dollar, introduced in 1921 and minted through 1935, carries a distinct Art Deco style that remains popular with collectors. The Mint reintroduced both as modern collector coins a few years ago, and annual editions have become a fixture on the numismatic calendar.

Unlike bullion coins — such as the American Silver Eagle, which is sold through authorized dealers — Uncirculated versions in this series are sold directly to the public through the Mint’s own sales channel, often at a premium above spot silver prices. That premium reflects the coins’ limited-mintage status and collector-grade finish.

For buyers with an eye on silver content, the current silver price environment will factor into final pricing, which the Mint typically confirms closer to the sale date. Silver has remained a closely watched market in 2025, with industrial demand and macroeconomic uncertainty both influencing the metal’s price trajectory.

High-demand Mint releases can sell out quickly, particularly in the first hours of availability. Interested buyers may want to create or confirm their Mint account ahead of the July 10 opening to avoid delays during the purchase process.

The July 10 release date is the key date to watch for collectors and silver buyers planning to add these coins to their holdings.
